Spicy Black Bean Hummus Recipe
This Spicy Black Bean Hummus is a delightful twist on traditional hummus, packing a flavorful punch with black beans and a hint of spice. It's perfect for parties, snacking, or as a spread for sandwiches and wraps.
Ingredients:
- 1 can 15 ounces black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste for spice
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro optional, for garnish
Instructions:
In a food processor, combine the black beans, tahini, olive oil, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, ground cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper
Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined
If it's too thick, you can add a bit of water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency
